Javier and the blues became buddies in 1978 when he discovered his father's record collection, and he has been playing professionally since 1992. After releasing "Comin' Home" on Storyville Records in 1999, he formed the Blue Shadows with Bill Bateman. In 2008 he teamed w/ Chopper to write & record "Diggin' at the Doghouse".
Chopper started out with the notorious Los Angeles roots-punk bands the Mau Maus and the Joneses. The ensuing records & tours (Mr. Badwrench, Charley Horse, Wanda Jackson, among others) have been a raucous riot of rockabilly, country & blues. In 2002 he joined the Cramps, recording "Fiends of Dope Island" and touring the world.
